Additional Resources: Electronic Filing
The Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) implemented the EOIR Courts & Appeals System (ECAS) in July 2018. The agency announced electronic filing (e-filing) would become mandatory for all lawyers practicing before EOIR effective February 11, 2022. Previously, electronic filing was voluntary but highly encouraged. Now, only e-filing will be accepted. Cases filed by paper prior to February 11, 2022, will remain housed under the old system until concluded. Click the links here for more information.
